About Our Programs

We offer students an opportunity for extensive musical education. The programs at Earthtone School of Music are designed to ensure that music students who wish to go on to programs in higher education have a competitive edge on their peers, giving our students confidence and pride in their musical skills. From our jazz ensembles and workshops to awards incentives and recitals, we provide students with the information to develop a solid foundation for fundamental musical technique and theory applications. Our programs will have a lasting impact on all our students and we guarantee a positive experience the student will always remember and grow from musically.

We are located at:

Private Lessons  (Click here for tuition information)
Our primary program is individual private instruction.  Private lessons are scheduled once per week for one half hour.  Instruction is presented to the student by the instructor on the student’s chosen instrument during the lesson one to one, fostering the individual’s musical development in relation to the student’s natural talents and abilities.  Private instruction provides a student optimum musical growth and advancement as the setting promotes specific attention to a student’s development based on the consistency of regular coaching.

Group Lessons
Our group lesson program is designed for small groups of two or three students (e.g., siblings, parent/child, adult couples or close friends) who wish to study the same instrument. These groups are scheduled similar to our private lessons, half hour weekly lessons.  Instruction presented to small groups of students is a great way to build individual enthusiasm and confidence as the students watch one another progress over time, sharing their experience.  We also offer this group experience as a cost effective way to introduce the routine of music studies to beginning students.

Session Courses
Session classes are designed for multiple students who share similar interests and offer our music students a unique experience.  Our classes offer an opportunity for the development and application of a range of different skills for students of all ages.  Similar to the experience a student may find in standard schools and colleges, our sessions are designed as “workshops” and typically run from six to twelve weeks depending on the specific course. We also cap enrollment for particular courses to ensure individualized attention for each student from the instructor.  The environment presented in the classroom setting of our sessions is generally easy paced and designed to accommodate the varying levels of experience and ability within the group of attending students.

  • Beginning Guitar Workshops
These classes are for absolute beginning guitar students and introduce elementary concepts such as tuning, technique, posture, basic rhythm and strumming patterns.  Separated into a youth group for students from 8 – 16 years, and an adult group for students over 16 years, Beginning Guitar Workshops are perfect for a cost effective introduction to music studies.
  • Me Mom & Music  (Click here to go to Me Mom & Music page)
  • Ensembles
Our ensembles are groups directed by qualified staff members in which students in private lessons on different instruments can apply their skills in a band setting. These are also “session” classes and are geared toward our annual recital performances.
    • Adult Jazz Combo
    • Youth Jazz Combo
Artist Development
Our program is unique as we also focus attention to the development of the artistry of each student.  Providing performance opportunities in live and studio settings, our students have a “real world” experience as music students.  Our annual student recitals provide the experience of preparing repertoire for solo and ensemble performances.  Earthtone Productions provides the assistance in producing demo recordings for students to be used as a means to further showcase a student’s talents and musical achievements.
  • Annual recitals
All students are encouraged to participate in our recitals.  This opportunity gives our students the experience in preparation and coaching for performing.  As repertoire is prepared for solo and ensemble performances, each student can know and become familiar with the intensity the performance experience.
  • Earthtone Productions  (Click here to go to Earthtone Productions page)
We offer the tools of our project recording studio specifically to facilitate the advanced student’s experience in the music recording environment.  The recording experience proves to be very unique and different than the live performance experience because of the nature of the music recording process.  Demonstration recordings are produced with assistance by Earthtone School of Music’s director and can be used to further a student’s educational and career opportunities.
